Introduction

Martin Edwards teaches and lectures upon a wide range of subjects in both pure and applied mathematics. His research interests are in functional analysis and the foundations of quantum mechanics. His current College Officerships include those of Dean, Editor of the ‘Queen’s College Record’, and Senior Treasurer of the Amalgamated Sports Clubs. He was educated at Wigan Grammar School and Queen’s, represented A.E.R.E. Harwell in the Hellenic Football League, is a former captain of Abingdon Cricket Club, and is Coach of Kidlington and Gosford Swimming Club.
