World Première of David Bednall
Welcome All Wonders:
A Christmas Cantata
David Bednall was a student at Queen’s in the late 90’s and is now a successful composer. He has been featured in Radio 4’s “The Choir”, and his recordings have been very highly praised in “The Gramophone”.
David Bednall’s “Christmas Cantata” has been specially commissioned by the architects of the new auditorium at Queen’s, and is receiving its premiere at the College on Saturday, 26 November.

Oxbridge Choirs united in concert! Our second collaboration with the Choir of Girton College, Cambridge, directed by Dana Marsh, with music by Taverner, Tallis, Byrd and Gibbons.

Our annual concert in the Chapel and Provost’s Garden, presenting music suitable for a summer’s evening. This year’s concert included the première of Invocation by Phillip Cooke, a Research Fellow of the College, as well as music by MacMillan and Whitacre.

Directed by Edward Whiting (during Dr Rees’s sabbatical), this concert featured Swiss and French works of the 20th Century.
