Queen’s joins the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival

We are proud to announce that The Queen’s College has joined The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival for the first time this year.

The Festival takes place between 24th March and 1st April 2012.

Queen’s will feature as an official venue for scheduled Workshops and Talks, Lectures and Receptions as well as opening up our popular en suite accommodation for bed and breakfast bookings.

We are delighted to offer our Shulman Auditorium as the venue for major festival events.

Officially opened last November by HRH the Duchess of Cornwall, the Auditorium is proving extremely popular as a location for conferences, lectures and performances. The building has been beautifully crafted using traditional York stone paving and exposed stone walls together with vast sheet glass walls.

Walk along the passageway featured in the motion picture The Golden Compass to reach the entrance to the auditorium.

We will also be hosting a couple of intimate readings in our treasured Upper Library, not usually open to members of the public.
