Queensmen centre-stage in Olympic opening ceremony
Two Queensmen, Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr Bean), featured prominently in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Mr Bean was seen playing second (or was it third?) keyboard in a rendition of the iconic theme from Chariots of Fire, under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle. Tim Berners-Lee emerged at the end of a long montage celebrating the digital revolution, to which he contributed the creation of hypertext, giving birth to the internet as we know it today.
