Tom read Egyptology at Queen's. He now lives in Fukuoka, Japan and is Managing Director of Edanz Group Japan, a leading supplier of scientific editing and medical writing in East Asia.

Peter was at Queen's studying German under Bill Calder. He now works for BAE Systems, Warton, Lancashire.

Davies, Rhian.

Rhian read Modern Languages (French and Spanish), did a D.Phil (Spanish) at Queen's and was a Laming Junior
Fellow (1994-96) here. She is married to Paul Sheldrake (Queen's, 1986) and they have two sons, Rhodri (born in 1998) and
Aled (born in 2001). Rhian has worked on the Perez Galdos Editions Project since April 1996 and is now a lecturer at the
Department of Hispanic Studies, University of Sheffield.

Stephen (Steve) studied Chemistry at Queens. He has been married to Margaret since 1979 and has 2 children, Gemma (who has just started a degree in Fine Art at Reading University) and Matthew. He is currently Head of Science at Headlands School in Bridlington.

Denyer, Gareth.
1980-1984

Gareth read Biochemistry as an undergraduate and stayed on for another 3 years to complete a D.Phill. After that, emigrating to Australia seemed sensible and after all this time down under he has the requiste wife and two nippers, a Pro-Deanship in Biochemistry at Sydney University and has been nominated for the Australian National Teaching Excellence Awards. He hasn't seen Brighton play for 12 years which is probably just as well.

Diab, Susan Carole.

Susan Diab graduated in Modern Languages (French and German) in 1986. After a foray into the world of German Romanticism she studied Fine Art at Brighton University and is now a practising artist with the studio group APEC in Hove. She is also lectures on fine art at Brighton and is Course Leader for ArCH the Postgraduate Certificate course in professional development for artists.

John read Classics and Modern Languages at Queen's. He is now a Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer (professionally) and a proud father of two. Still living in Leatherhead, Surrey, John advises companies and investors in a number of sectors, principally property funds and information security.

Donnelly, (Joseph) Brian.

Brian read PPE at Queen's and also edited Cherwell. After getting a Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin he started an M.Phil at LSE butleft in 1970 to join, first, GCHQ and then, in 1973, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.After a variety of home and overseas diplomatic postings he became Ambassador to Yugoslavia and then Zimbabwe. He will be retiring from the FCO in 2004.

Sarah read Modern History & pursued a career in Human Resources Management following graduation, specialising in Organisation Design & Development, Change Management and Employee Relations. She most recently held senior management roles with Accenture and JP Morgan Investment Bank, within UK and Asia Pacific. Married Michael in 1993; currently on career break following births of 2 daughters, Olivia (1999)and Lucy (2001).

Paul matriculated in 1981, got his B.A. Hons Chemistry in 1985, and his D. Phil (Chemistry) in 1987. (Prof. H. Allen O. Hill, supervisor).
Hi is married to Queens alumnus Catherine Smith (1982-1986, BA Hons Chemistry). They have two children, George and Hannah.
Paul is now the Royal Society University Research Fellow studying protein structure and function using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy....

Christophe did a MSc of Comparative Social Research at Queen's in 1997-98. He previously attended Studies in Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (1994-97) Queens BA in law from the University of Paris. On training at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA).
