Kayondo, Martin David . 1993-1994
Martin David Kayondo read Engineering Science. He has an MBA (Wales) and is a Corporate Finance professional specialising in capital investment strategies, infrastructure and environmental regeneration programmes. His current project is the new £35m Sammy Ofer Wing, an extension to the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
Keatinge, Douglas. 1995-1998
Doug is now working as a journalist for RTE in Dublin, Ireland. He remains completely uncertain of his future career.
Kemp, Andrew. 1986-1989
Andrew has been working for Fujitsu Microelectronics in Maidenhead for 10 years, firstly as an IC designer and latterly in charge of worldwide design methods. He married in 2001 and currently lives in west London.
Kerr, Tony. 1966-1969
Tony taught in England, Africa, Spain and Sweden, then became an LEA educational psychologist and Assistant Director of Education in a London borough. Co-ordinated a scheme promoting social enterprise in the rural South West, and now works freelance, mainly with voluntary and community groups. Married with two grown-up daughters.
Kershaw, Royston. 1971-1974
Royston Kershaw has worked for the Met Office since graduating from Queen's in 1974. He is currently head of Atmospheric Processes and Parametrizations and has moved to the new HQ in Exeter. He is married to Heather, has two sons, Alex and Nic, from his first marriage, and lives in Thorverton, Devon.
Khan, Khalid Aziz. 1967-1969
Khalid studied PPE at Queen's. During the course he was selected for the Civil Service of Pakistan. While at Queen's Khalid represented the college in cricket, hockey and squash. He also played cricket for the Authentics. In 1981, Khalid was at Wolfson College, Cambridge where he obtained an M.Phil in Development Studies. Khalid has served for more than 30 years in the Civil Service. He has remained the Chief Secretary of the North West Frontier Province. He was also appointed the first civil servant head of Accountability Bureau of the govt of Pakistan, when it was created in 1999. Khalid now lives with his wife Tony and their children in Peshawar. Khalid's elder son Shumayl Aziz is a practising lawyer, who qualified for the Bar after obtaining a degree from the UK. Khalid is nowadays looking after the family furniture business, which he inherited from his father.
Khanna, Vinod. 1959-1961
1963-94: Indian Foreign Service. Served as Ambassador in Cuba, Indonesia and Bhutan but a lot of career dealt with China. Spent a year at Center for International Affairs, Harvard University, as a Fellow, 1988-89. Co-author of two books: "India and China: The Way Ahead" & "The Ramayana in Indonesia". Now: i. Executive Chairman, The Council of Social Development, New Delhi; ii. Principal Consultant, Tech Mahindra Foundation (a development support organization); iii. Trustee, Pratham Delhi Education Initiative (goal:Universal elementary education); iv. Emeritus Fellow, Institute of Chinese Studies, Delhi. V. Trustee, Rajeshwar Susheela Dayal Charitable Trust, Delhi.
King, David Nicholas. 1956-1959
David retired from being Head of Security at GCHQ in 1996. He now enjoys a quiet life in rural Worcestershire, in the lee of the Malverns. He spends his time, gardening, photographing roses, writing the occasional Bridge Book (et al), and running several websites. He is a keen swimmer and jogger.
Kingshott, Adrian Paul. 1979-1982
After graduating in 1982 Adrian had a brief spell in the "City" before going to Harvard Business School. After getting an MBA he rejoined Goldman Sachs where he worked slavishly for 15 years; ultimately running the leveraged finance business in New York. Adrian is currently a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Amaranth, a multi-strategy hedge fund in Greenwich CT. He got lucky in marrying Sonia before leaving England in 1985. Got even luckier in having 3 children; Natasha, Rupert and Thomas. Adrian is an American citizen but indulges in great nostalgia about England. He would love to hear from any of you who find yourselves in the USA.
Kobine, Jonathan. 1989-1992
Jonathan was a graduate student and a member of the chapel choir during his time at Queen's. He completed his DPhil in Physics in 1992, and is now a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Dundee.
Kojima, Andrew. 1997-2001
After leaving Queen's, Koj started as an analyst in UK Corporate Finance at UBS Warburg. In 2004 he joined Morgan Stanley's newly formed Corporate Broking team. He is currently an investment analyst at Silchester International Investors in Mayfair.
Kwande, Yahaya. 1962-1963
Former Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland, current Chairman - Board of Directors National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria.
