After leaving Queen's in 2002 Julie has spent the last four years at Selwyn College, Cambridge studying for a PhD in Biochemistry. She is about to take up a postdoctorial position at the department of Molecular and Cell Biology, UC Berkeley. Julie married Dr Andrew Aspden at Selwyn Chapel, Cambridge on 10th December 2005.

Since completing his MPhys Martin has moved to Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands to complete a PhD in Astrophysics. Martin uses large cosmological simulations to model and study the formation and evolution of galaxies.

After receiving an MPhil in Linguistics, Carolin returned to Germany to study medicine at the University of Cologne. She is now a 3rd year medical student, currently working on her dissertation in the Molecular Tumor Biology and Immunology lab in Cologne.

Lambourne, Alexis.

Al undertook his D.Phil in Materials Engineering, the topic of his thesis being 'spray forming of Si-Al alloys for thermal management applications'. After an enjoyable few years in at Queen's, including a year as MCR president, Al left Oxford in 2005 and the thesis was completed in 2007 while working for Rolls-Royce in Derby. Al has since moved role within Rolls-Royce from the nuclear materials group to strategic research.

After completing pre-clinical medicine and his BA at Queen's, Chris went to University College London to do his clinical training. He is now studying dentistry at King's College London with a view to specialising in maxillofacial surgery.

Miguel spent six months at Queen's as a Socrates exchange student. After completing a research project at Biochemistry, he returned to the University of Leiden where he is now a Radiology resident and pursuing a PhD in Neuroradiology. He would very much like to hear from his friends at college and, in particular, the 2000 QCBC Senior Squad.

After reading Modern Languages, Julia (nee Short) married Gary and moved to Oswestry where she now has a job as personal assistant to the Medical Director at the local orthopaedic hospital.

I came to Queens as a mature student, and read Psychology. On graduating I continued to build a successful telephone fundraising business with my husband. I have also had 2 little girls. I am being bought out of the business over the next 5 years, and no longer working, enabling me to spend lots of time with Ettie (4) and Eloise (3). We live in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire, home of the famous brewery.

Verena came as a Visiting Student to Queen's and is now studying Composition for Film and Television at the Academy of Music in Munich while finishing her degrees in Musicology and Philosophy. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading, photographing, dancing and listening to music whenever possible.

Completed an undergraduate Masters in Physics at Queen's (MPhys), followed by a postgraduate Masters by Research (MSc) in Atmospheric Physics at Wolfson (Oxford). Now pursuing a DPhil in Atmospheric Physics at St Edmund Hall. Interests include rifle shooting and horse riding.

Oscar came up to Queen's in October 2000 to read Modern History & Politics. In Trinity 2001 he was elected President of the JCR. After taking Schools in May and June of 2003, he stayed on at Queen's as Assistant to the Home Bursar, before taking over as the College's Old Members' Officer in October 2003, a position he enjoys immensely. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, architecture, history, serving as a school governor, walking in the countryside, and standing for parliament as the Labour candidate in Newbury, Berkshire.
