Benefactors' Dinner - Cancelled
The annual Benefactors' Dinner is held to recognise and thank those Old Members and Friends who have made significant contributions to the welfare of Queen’s in recent years.
It is with sadness that we announce that we have cancelled this year’s event. The College delayed this decision as long as it could, in the hope that the situation inside and outside of Oxford might change for the better. However, given that long-distance travel is involved for many Benefactors, Old Members and guests to attend the dinner, we thought it best not to take any unnecessary risks or prolong the uncertainty.
We are planning our 2021 Benefactors' Dinner event for Saturday 3 July 2021 with a special performance of The Changeling, written by Old Member Thomas Middleton (1598).
In the meantime, we will be organising a series of online events this autumn to keep you in touch with the Queen’s community, including: a College AGM (October), where we will be discussing some of the most pressing questions and issues facing Oxford and Queen’s; the inaugural Provost’s Lecture (November), where Dr Craig will be discussing and in conversation with a guest speaker about “Leadership in Crisis”; and just before the holiday season, a virtual cooking session with the College’s new Chef and a virtual Wine Tasting with our SCR Steward and Butler. More details to be announced shortly.
If you would like to know more about making a significant gift to Queen's, please contact the Old Members' Office.
