Grants are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit

Specifically, scholarships and Exhibitions are awarded to undergraduates on the following basis:

(i)        Excellent performance in tutorials, classes, University examinations or College collections are recognised after the First Public Examination, by the award of an Exhibition to the value of £50 per term or a Junior Scholarship to the value of £100 per term.

(ii)       Excellent performance in tutorials, classes, University examinations or College collections are recognised in subsequent terms by the award of an Exhibition to the value of £50 per term, or a Junior Scholarship to the value of £100 per term, or a Major Scholarship to the value of £150 per term. 

(iii)       Exhibitions, Junior Scholarship and Major Scholarships are tenable until the end of the academic year in which they are awarded.

(iv)       On the first occasion of receiving one of these awards, the undergraduate will be reimbursed with the cost of a scholar’s gown on production of a proof of purchase.

Named prizes are awarded to undergraduates obtaining first-class marks in Collections.
