Hello Old Members!
Would you like to share your journey from Queen’s until now with current students at Queen’s?
Hello Current Students!
Would you like to meet Old Members and members of the Queen’s Women’s Network (QWN) for an evening of Finding our voices: Stories from 45 years of co-education at Queen’s?
On Saturday 2 March, in the first of its kind, the QWN in conjunction with the JCR and MCR will host an evening of small-group networking across the decades in the Upper Library for Old Members and students, followed by dinner to continue conversations. The event is being held to mark International Women’s Day and to commemorate the 45th anniversary of women starting at Queen’s.
As a Queen’s Old Member, there are two ways to get involved and share your experience and knowledge with our students: Join as a story-sharer; or as a dinner only.
- Story-sharer: If you would like to be considered as a speaker during the networking part of the evening, please indicate this on your booking*. You may want to think about your journey from Queen’s until now, what you have learnt along the way, what has sparked your passion and what challenges you’ve overcome.
This ticket option also includes your dinner place.
- Dinner only: If you are happy to join the networking element of the event as a guest and prefer to share your story informally over dinner only, please select this option on booking.
*Please note, spots are limited for this and we may not be able to accommodate all interest this time.
Queen’s Students, please select a student ticket on the booking form.
Upon booking, all guests will be asked a few short career-related questions to help us with the organisation of the event. Please leave blank if these do not apply.
Old Member tickets are £30. Places are limited. Closing date for Old Members is 11 February.
Student tickets are £15.
Book by 11 February (Old Members) and 18 February (Students)
This event is open to all Old Members and students.
All tickets include access to the Networking event, 3-course dinner and a glass of wine.
SATURDAY 2 MARCH
5.00pm Networking in the Upper Library
7.15pm Networking Dinner in Hall (Smart dress)
The Beer Cellar is open for post-dinner drinks (with limited capacity and card only).
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide accommodation at Queen’s for Old Members on this occasion because this event is being held in term-time to maximise student participation. If B&B is required there are several hotel options in the city and further afield to suit a range of budgets. The dinner is scheduled to conclude by c9.00pm at the latest.
