Queen’s College Medical Society Annual Talk and Dinner 2017
The Queen’s College Medical Society was excited to welcome Brigadier Kevin Beaton OBE QHP to their annual talk and dinner in College this term. Brigadier Beaton delivered an engaging and, at times, emotional talk about ‘Military Medicine in Conflict and in Crisis’, sharing his experiences in conflict in Afghanistan, in contrast to his role in the response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa. The talk was stimulating for the whole audience, which comprised preclinical and clinical medics, bio-medics and their tutors at Queen’s, as it provided interesting accounts from a different medical perspective. The whole evening was enjoyable and memorable and the QCMS committee are very grateful to Kevin for being a part of it.
