The initial stages of the application process are the same at Queen's as they are at any other college in the university. UCAS applications are due by 15th October each year, and applicants will also need to ensure that they have registered for any necessary admissions assessments by this date. The most comprehensive information about applying to the university is available on the central university website.
We enjoy welcoming applicants to Queen’s for the interview process every December. We provide all interviewees with a bedroom and meals free of charge, and for however long they need it! Applicants invited to interview will be contacted by email to sort out their accommodation needs.
We always have a team of student helpers on hand to help you settle in to the College, and so that you can concentrate on doing your best in your interviews. They are here to help you find your way around, to keep you company between your interviews, and to answer your questions too!

Talk to current students
When young people come to visit us, they always tell us that chatting to our undergraduates was the best, most valuable part of the time they spent at Queen's. We want to ensure that all prospective applicants have access to our students, no matter where they're from. Whoever you are, you can now get in direct contact with our undergraduates online.
Click on their profiles below to find out more about them and start chatting! They'd love to hear from you.
We welcome applications from all over the world. If applying from outside the EU, we will contact you once we have received your application to see if you would like to be interviewed over Skype. Being interviewed this way will not affect your chances of admission. If you feel you would be unable to come to Oxford to be interviewed in person for any other reason then we will arrange an interview via Skype for you.
Finding out your result
We send out our admissions decisions in early January, at the same time as the other Colleges, on the date mandated by the University. Unfortunately, we are not able to give out application results before this date.
Our tutors are looking for academic enthusiasm, capability, and potential. You will be asked difficult questions, and will be expected to think on your feet. Take the interview questions at face-value, ask for help if you need it, be honest, and make the most of being given the chance to speak to experts in your subject!
Tutors are not trying to trick you or make you feel uncomfortable, they actually want to help you do your best.
Open Days and College Tours
The College runs a variety of Open Days at different points in the year. For details click here. You can also request a tour of Queen's at any time, by emailing the Outreach Officer.
