New Browne Research Fellow appointed

2 February 2016

The College is pleased to announce that Dr Annette Fayet has been elected the Browne Research Fellow in Biological Sciences with effect from 1 October 2016.  Dr Fayet is a zoologist specialising in the study of migratory seabirds. She obtained her doctorate from Oxford last December with a thesis on the at-sea behaviour of pelagic seabirds during their long-distance migration. Her research project at Queen’s will use newly developed miniature tracking devices to investigate the migratory strategies of Atlantic puffins on a global population scale, and how changing environmental conditions may affect the non-breeding distribution of these endangered seabirds.
