Ms Stefanie Burkert-Burrows

Lecturer in German

Originally from Southern Germany, I studied German and Theology at the University of Eichstätt. I came to Oxford as a graduate student at St Edmund Hall where I specialised in the area of Medieval German Mysticism. I completed my MSt in Research Methods in Modern Foreign Languages in 1998 and my Staatsexamen in Germany in 1999.

In the following years, I taught German in the contexts of Secondary School and Adult Education near Manchester, before returning to Oxford in 2013.

Since 2013, I have been teaching Translation into German at St Peter’s, Hertford, Queen’s and New College for students of all years of study. From the academic year 2017/18 I also teach Oriel and Jesus College students.
