As well as organising visits to and from schools (more information here), Queen’s is working to develop its Outreach programmes.
North West Science Residential
The North West Science Residential is a residential event for Year 12s, hosted annually during the Easter holidays. This event is a chance for young people from Lancashire and Cumbria to get a taster of what it might be like to live and study at Queen's. This year, the event will be held Tuesday 3rd April to Friday 6th April and applications are now OPEN. More information and an application form can be found here.
The Lewisham Programme
The Lewisham programme is a yearly programme of events in collaboration with the Lewisham Council and Gonville and Cauis College, Cambridge for all gifted and talented year 12 state school students in the borough.
The yearly programme includes the following events:

Open Days Plus
This scheme is an extended programme of events in June/July for state schools in Lancashire, Cumbria, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool for whom travelling down to Oxford during the school year is not feasible. It offers an extra night’s accommodation for students to stay for one of the main open days plus one day of Queen’s-based admissions support and other academic taster activities. Bookings for this event open in March each year.
