Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Librarian at The Queen’s College, Oxford.

The Assistant Librarian is an important member of the Library team, helping to develop and maintain the collections and services that support the academic work of the College. The position offers the opportunity to develop the next phase of your career across a broad range of librarianship.

Key characteristics, abilities and experience crucial to fulfilling the responsibilities of this role are:

  • Collections management experience, including acquisition and cataloguing
  • Good working knowledge of Library Management Systems, ideally Aleph or Alma
  • Experience of supervising a reading room and related services, ideally in a higher education setting
  • Comfortable with library technology, writing for the web and social media

This is a permanent full-time post of 37.5 hours scheduled Monday to Friday. The salary range for this post is £30,502-£36,386 (Grade 6). It is expected that the successful candidate will be appointed at the bottom of the salary range.
