Viewing archives for Welfare Team

The Revd Liam Cartwright joined the College in 2025 as College Chaplain. You can find more information on the role of the Chaplain on the Chapel page.

Originally from Worcestershire, Liam undertook undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music before pursuing a career as professional organist, choral conductor, church musician, and teacher.  He trained for the priesthood at Ripon College Cuddesdon, subsequently serving his title post in the Cowley Team Ministry before becoming Interim Minister of the Benefice of Wolvercote and Wytham prior to his appointment as Chaplain of The Queen’s College.

Outside of College, Liam serves as a Vocations Advisor for the Oxford Episcopal Area, a Foundation Governor of St. Frideswide Church of England Primary School, and a Trustee of On Fire Mission.

I am a member of the College’s Welfare Team. I have a wide range of experience talking with students about any welfare concerns they have – no problem is too big or small. You can book a welfare meeting with me using the button below. If there is no available slot that works with your schedule, you can email me at welfare.officer@queens.ox.ac.uk and we can try to find an alternative time.

I am also a member of the College Office, and I liaise with the Academic Administrator to assist students with accessing support for their studies. You can email me at college.office@queens.ox.ac.uk with queries you have about matters ranging from problems completing your exams, to registering with the disability advisory service, to applying for financial assistance.

Do say hello if you see me around College!
