Oxford University Open Days
Every year, Queen’s takes part in the annual University-wide Open Days for prospective undergraduates.
Here is an example timetable for our Open Days:
|9 am||College opens to visitors|
|10 – 11 am||Talk: ‘Why Queen’s?’ With Schools Liaison, Outreach and Recruitment Officer and Student Ambassadors|
|1.30 – 4 pm||Drop-in session: Meet the tutors|
|4 – 5 pm||Talk: ‘Making a competitive application to Oxford’ With Schools Liaison, Outreach and Recruitment Officer and Student Ambassadors|
|5.30 pm||College closes to visitors|
Open Day Plus
Queen’s also offers an extended scheme called ‘Open Day Plus’ for students in Year 12 or equivalent from state schools in our link areas of Lancashire, Cumbria, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool, for whom travelling to Oxford during the school year is not feasible. This scheme provides school groups with two days of free accommodation and meals at Queen’s, so students can attend a University Open Day and benefit from an extended programme of application support sessions run by the college.
