Oxford University Intercollegiate Golf Tournament - Cancelled

Old Member event

Old Members' Office

"Following discussions of the Committee over the past few days and in the light of current and anticipated guidelines we regrettably have no alternative but to cancel the OUIC Golf event planned on April 17th and I am sure that everyone will agree that this is the right thing to do. We will continue to keep the overall situation under review and should the storm pass over, as we all hope it will and guidelines allow, we may well be able to play some kind of an event in the Autumn, perhaps if necessary on a smaller scale - just for this year.

A huge thank you to you all for your work in pulling teams together and in your support for the event and I know how disappointing this is for everyone at this relatively late stage when so much has already been done. I really hope that the next time I circulate a general email it will be with better news after the virus has been defeated and we can get back to some kind of normality."

David Unwin (Modern History, 1973) will be Queen’s point of contact for the tournament.
