My favourite memory of Queen’s
Perhaps several – meeting people form diverse backgrounds, studying a range of subjects, the beautiful architecture, particularly the Upper Library.
What Queen’s means to me
Friendly College – at my time, being a Northern college, it felt like a part of the north of England in Oxford.
My journey since leaving Queen’s
I completed my medical studies in Cambridge and then junior hospital jobs in Norwich and Leeds, before becoming a partner at the Castle Medical Practice, Norwich (1985-2016). My particular interests were diabetes, medicine for the elderly, travel medicine, and managing the practice’s finances. In 2005-6 I was President of Norfolk Med-Chir Society and I am currently chairman of Norfolk Benevolent Medical Society.
