My favourite memory of Queen’s
Celebrating graduation with my daughter, husband and closest friends I made at Queen’s. My journey to graduation wasn’t straightforward. I passed my confirmation viva whist pregnant and returned from maternity leave during the pandemic. Borrowing and returning books turned into watching my daughter learn how to crawl, to walk and run through the stone corridors and the MCR. So, when I finally achieved my goal of graduating with my DPhil, witnessing her twirl down Front Quad in her party dress, sit on my dear friend’s lap during the celebratory toasts, and applaud for all my hard work will be one of my most cherished memories forever.
What Queen’s means to me

My journey since leaving Queen’s
Prior to Queen’s, I performed on cruise ships and at theme parks. I left performing to pursue a career in academia. During my DPhil, I held a part-time lectureship at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Then, I was fortunate to accept a full-time lectureship at University of Leeds before my graduation and have since achieved the rank of Associate Professor.
