CHAPLAIN

The Queen’s College, Oxford, is seeking to appoint a Chaplain for a five year period with effect from 1 September 2010. Applications are invited from men and women in Anglican Holy Orders. The person appointed will be responsible for the conduct and oversight of services in the College Chapel. He or she will carry out pastoral work among all members of the College. The stipend is £23,050. Accommodation is in College for a single person, and may be available for a couple; a housing allowance may be available for a couple or a family who live outside College. NON-STIPENDIARY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN PHYSIOLOGY OR PSYCHOLOGY

The College proposes to elect a Non-Stipendiary (Extraordinary) Junior Research Fellowship in either Physiology or Psychology. The Fellowship, tenable for three years from 1st October 2010 (with the possibility of renewal for a further two years), is intended to provide College support, and would suit post-doctoral research scientists whose tenure extends at least until the end of the first three years of the award. Those who already hold a distinguished post-doctoral fellowship award are particularly encouraged to apply. The closing date for applications is 15th February 2010.

CONFERENCE AND FUNCTIONS OFFICER

The Queen’s College wishes to appoint a Conference and Functions Officer. This is a senior position, entailing responsibility for the College’s conference business and its internal functions, including management of its conference office. The appointment arises at a time when the College is planning a significant expansion of its conference business; the person appointed will be expected to oversee this expansion whilst ensuring that the College’s needs do not conflict with those of its external customers.

The appointment is full-time and permanent (upon the successful completion of a probationary period), and the salary will be around £40,000 per annum, the level to be determined according to experience. Meals on duty are available free of charge and there is a pension scheme.
