Each year we hold subject-based reunions, an annual Old Members’ Dinner and the Boar’s Head and Needle and Thread Gaudies. Events further afield include a popular annual drinks reception in London, dinners in North America, and regional UK events. We always welcome enquiries and feedback about events so please do not hesitate to send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Current update: Old Member Events (August 2020)
It is with sadness that we announce that we have postponed our in-person Old Members' events' programme for the rest of 2020. With the health and safety and travel restrictions still being such, holding these events just isn’t going to be possible without affecting the overall experience and feel of the event.
The College delayed this decision as long as it could, in the hope that the situation inside and outside of Oxford might change for the better. However, given that long-distance travel is involved for many Old Members, Benefactors and guests to attend our dinners, reunions and gaudies, we thought it best not to take any unnecessary risks or prolong the uncertainty.
In the meantime, we will be organising a series of online events this autumn to keep you in touch with the Queen’s community, including: a College Conversation (October), where we will be discussing some of the most pressing questions and issues facing Oxford and Queen’s; the inaugural Provost’s Lecture (November), where Dr Craig will be discussing and in conversation with a guest speaker about “Leadership in Crisis”; and just before the holiday season, a virtual cooking session with the College’s new Chef and a virtual Wine Tasting with our SCR Steward and Butler. More details to be announced shortly. In addition, we will be working with the Queen's Women's Network to help facilitate on online networking session in September.
We will keep you up-to-date on these developments in this page here.
