St Aldate’s House is a 15-20-minute walk from Main College and is located about a seven-minute stroll from Christ Church meadow. There is a Tesco Express located nearby, and the city centre and Westgate shopping centre are just five minutes away.
There are 89 single bedrooms in St Aldate’s House, all of which are en-suite.
St Aldate’s House undergraduate rooms are provided on a termly licence; however, students who are eligible to apply for an extended term licence may do so if they have a room in St Aldate’s House.
Covered bicycle storage is provided at the rear of the building. The area can be accessed via the gate next to the main entrance or through the side gate on St Aldate’s, just before Tesco, using the room key.

St Aldate’s House has a great location being right opposite Christ Church Meadow, which is now part of my walk to Queen’s and the libraries! It’s also super close to Westgate and other grocery shops, which is very convenient. I really like that you get a lot of personal space here; my room is really spacious, all the rooms are en-suite, and we have access to kitchens shared between 6-8 people, so cooking is very easy!
