Recent exploration of the College’s history has been two-fold. We have actively sought to uncover stories of our members whose voices have not yet been widely heard, and we have worked to better understand the College’s history and key figures in the context of its, and their, connection to the transatlantic trade in enslaved African people.

Our approach is founded in academic exploration, archival research, collaboration with external experts, and the kind of rigorous intellectual approach we expect from our students.
