New Fellow in Materials Science
The College is pleased to announce that Professor Robert Weatherup has taken up a Fellowship in Materials Science.
Professor Weatherup completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he worked on understanding and improving the catalytic growth of graphene and other two-dimensional materials. Following this he held a Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellowship at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US, and a Diamond-Manchester Fellowship at Diamond Light Source.
At Queen's he is excited to continue developing his interest in reactions occurring at material interfaces in batteries and catalytic reactors. He currently leads a new project, funded by the Faraday Institution, to develop characterisation methods for probing buried interfaces in lithium-ion batteries.
