I’m currently a Night Porter at Queen’s Lodge, and have been at the College since 2005. My role is to cover security and ensure the safety of the students. For any welfare issues, there’s also a member of the student welfare team on duty overnight.
My previous jobs include working at the Apollo Theatre in Manchester from 1977, from where I was transferred to the Oxford Apollo in 1980 and worked as assistant stage manager. In 1984, I joined Radio Rentals and did an apprenticeship as a TV engineer, staying with them for over 20 years until they sadly went into administration in 2004.
Originally from Manchester, my hobbies are cycling, swimming and the gym, and I support Manchester United. I welcome you to Queen’s with a friendly smile!
