Fellow in Plant Sciences receives social impact award

13 February 2020

The College congratulates Dr Lindsay Turnbull who has received an Impact Award, in the category of social impact, from the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS) division at the University of Oxford.  Dr Turnbull received the award at a ceremony held at Queen’s for her work with the Aldabra Clean-Up Project, which tackled the problem of marine plastic pollution through action, education, and research.

The annual MPLS Impact Awards aim to foster and raise awareness of impact by rewarding it at a local level, preparing the ground for the impact case studies that will be needed for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, and future similar exercises.
