Sir Richard Tucker (1930-2020)

The College is saddened to note the death of Honorary Fellow Sir Richard Tucker on 20 February 2020.

Sir Richard read Jurisprudence (matriculated in 1950) and then practiced law from Birmingham, covering a wide range of criminal and civil litigation cases. He took Silk in 1972, before being appointed to the High Court Bench in 1985 until his retirement in 2000.  During this later period Sir Richard was the Presiding Judge of the Midland & Oxford Circuit.  Sir Richard became an Honorary Fellow of the College in 1992.
